After having a sump pump fail, and the flood afterward; I knew it would be a hassle finding a contractor I could trust to do good work, charge a reasonable price, and finish on time. When you came to view the damage, you were extremely patient provided answers to numerous questions, carefully and politely.     Good afternoon Glen,

    Arline and I wanted to tell you once again how much we appreciate the fine job that you did building the porch on the north side of our home. If you every have the appropriate opportunity, please do not hesitate to share the following comments with prospective clients, or post them on your website.

    Mr. Miller constructed a 15-foot long porch roof on our home over an existing patio that projected outward from the house approximately 13 feet. From the project's outset, Mr. Miller was extremely cooperative in bringing to reality the project exactly as my wife and I envisioned it. Unlike most builders, who have preconceived notions about how a concept should be brought to fruition so that it can be built expediently, Mr. Miller accommodated our requests regarding size, shape, specific dimensions, the fit with existing features on the house, accommodations for wiring, placement of gutters, etc. down to the most minute detail. This attention to fulfilling our desires in an exacting way have made the difference between being satisfied with the results, and being ecstatic with them.

    In addition to fulfilling our very specific desires, Mr. Miller's workmanship was beyond reproach. I have since had the opportunity to compare the quality of the carpentry on my project with that on similar porches throughout my neighborhood, and there is no comparison. The fit and finish of Mr. Miller's work reflects his strong background in interior finish carpentry. The manner in which my porch's ceiling, horizontal support beam, and columns flow together looks like it belongs inside my house instead of on the exterior. Once finished, the porch posts and the horizontal beam used to support the porch's outer edge were the same thickness, giving the appearance of one piece, rather than many pieces of dissimilar sizes haphazardly stuck together.

    Most homeowners have experience the frustration of having contractors begin a job, and once started, work sporadically as they see fit until it is done, often juggling other projects or their own personal agenda. From the time he broke ground, Mr. Miller worked in an uninterrupted fashion until completion. The only interruptions in the project's smooth flow were the result of inclement weather. Unlike any other provider in his field, Mr. Miller willing accepted my hands-on involvement during some aspects of the job. Rather than say that I would use Glen Miller again, I want to make it clear that I will use him in the future for other home-improvement projects. Finally, unlike many contractors who the homeowner is glad to be rid of at the project's completion, Mr. Miller was a welcome addition to our home for the project's duration.
